VEP - Visual Evoked Potential:
THE VEP should b regarded as complimentary to clinical examination and Neuro ophthalmological investigation. The VEP
studies an objective and sensitive method for documenting the abnormalities in visual pathways especially anterior to optic
chiasma. In a patient who is noncooperative and in case fundus examination is not possible and there is a question about
localization of deficit within the visual pathways - VEP test becomes essential.
